Mouma Das was born on 24 February 1984 in Kolkata, India, she is an Indian table tennis player. Represented India at international events since the early 2000s. Das won several medals at the Commonwealth Games including a gold in the women's team event in 2018. He was awarded the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting honour, in 2013 for his contribution to the sport.
Mouma Das competed in the singles table tennis competition at the 2004 Olympic Games, making her second appearance at the event in the 2016 edition after a gap of 12 years. Mouma Das reached the quarterfinals of the women's doubles event with Manika Batra at the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships in the year, becoming the first Indian pair to do so. The pair also won a silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2021.

Das played her first World Table Tennis Championship in Manchester in 1997 and reached the third round before being eliminated. He did not participate the following year due to injury. In subsequent world meetings, Das has represented India either as a singles player or as a member of the team: Kuala Lumpur (2000), Osaka (2001), Paris (2003), Doha (2004), Bremen (2006). ), Zagreb (2007), Guangzhou (2008), Yokohama (2009), Moscow (2010), Rotterdam (2011), Dortmund (2012), Paris (2013), Suzhou (2015), Kuala Lumpur (2016), Düsseldorf (2017) ), Halmsted (2018) ) recorded the highest cap with 17 appearances at the championships, without missing any championships in table tennis. Das and Thailand's Komwon Nanthana both represented the country 17 times, the most by any Asian in both categories.
Mouma Das won his first international gold medal in the second children's of Asia International Sports Games'2000 (in Yakutsk).
Mouma Das played more than 400 international matches against 75 countries.
At the December 2015 Commonwealth Championships, claimed silver in the singles event along with the team medal and became the highest Indian table tennis player to win a Commonwealth medal.

In April 2015, Das qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics in the Asian Qualification Tournament held in Hong Kong. However, Das's appearance at the 2016 Olympics was short-lived, as she lost to high seed Daniela Dodian of Romania in the first round of the women's individual event.

In 2017 ITTF Challenge Spanish Open Indian pair Manika Batra and Mouma Das, seeded second, lost to top seeded Korean pair Jihee Jeon and Hyun Yang 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 9-11, 9. -11 in a thrilling women's doubles final. It was a credible performance that made the issue the first Indian women's pair with a silver medal in the ITTF Challenge series to reach the final two points. Das made his 50th final at the annual Inter State and Senior National Table Tennis Championships in Ranchi, also winning a gold medal in the team event, where he represented the PSPB.
Das was part of the women's team that won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, after the Indian team defeated Singapore by a score of 3-1 in the final to secure the country's first gold medal in the event. Das along with Madhurika Patkar won the women's doubles match to give India the lead in the tie. Presently she is an employee of OIL (Oil India Limited).
