Virat Kohli became the fourth batsman for India to score 10,000 ODI runs, and also broke Sachin Tendulkar's record. Kohli reached the elite club along with Tendulkar (18426), Sourav Ganguly (11221) and Rahul Dravid (10768). MS Dhoni has also scored more than 10000 ODI runs (10123) but only 9949 of them have been scored for India. The remaining 174 runs came for Asia XI.
Kohli became the fifth Indian batsman and the 13th player to reach 10000 ODI runs. While Tendulkar took 259 innings to get there, Kohli achieved the landmark in just 205 innings.
Ganguly needed 263 innings to reach 10000 ODI runs, while South African great Jacques Kallis scored his 10000th in his 272nd innings.
