Vijay Hazare Trophy – History, Winners List & Records...

The Vijay Hazare Trophy is considered the ultimate test for young cricketers to showcase their talent. It is an annual limited-overs domestic cricket competition in India. From the tournament's inaugural edition during the 1993–94 season until the 2001–02 season, no final match was held.

The tournament was formally introduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the 2002–03 season and is named after Vijay Hazare, one of the greatest Indian cricketers of the twentieth century.

In the 2024 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Karnataka emerged as the champions by defeating Vidarbha in the final. This victory added another glorious chapter to Karnataka’s rich cricketing history.
