IPL 2022 Schedule: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League - VIVO TATA IPL 2022 has been scheduled between 26 March 2022 and 29 May 2022. The inaugural match of IPL 2022 is likely to be played on 26 March 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. 10 teams will clash for the final glory over the course of two months, with the final match to be played on 29 May. With only three weeks left, the BCCI announced the schedule of the much-awaited tournament and defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first match.
Before organizing IPL 2022, BCCI added 2 new teams. The BCCI has successfully completed the bidding for two new franchises. You can follow mega auction and IPL 2022 latest news and updates for more details.

The matches this season are going to be played in a different format, with the BCCI doing away with the old format of each side playing twice in the league stage. The 10 teams are divided into two groups, A and B, based on the number of titles won and the number of finals played.

  • As per the schedule, the first match of the season will take place on March 27. There will be a lot of double-header days this season, as the number of matches is increasing with the addition of two new teams. The government has also decided to allow 25% spectators for all league matches during the IPL. The venue for the playoffs is yet to be decided. The schedule for the IPL 2022 playoffs has not been released yet.
