Top 5 Men ODI Batsmen In The World According To The International Cricket Council!

This year has been a critical one for mankind. While the entire world came to a complete standstill, cricket activities spread across the oceans had to be called off in the early months of the pandemic-hit year.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has 12 full-time members which include India, Pakistan, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Ireland, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.
From these 12 teams, it becomes difficult to pick the top 5 ODI batsmen in the world in 2021.
Rankings change over time based on the number of matches a player plays and his performance in One Day International (ODI) matches.

Babar Azam:-

Babar Azam is a Pakistani cricketer. He is a top-order batsman, also serves as the captain of the Pakistani cricket team in T20Is and vice-captain in the ODI format. Making his ODI debut in 2015 at the age of 20, Babar Azam was the highest run-scorer for Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019 which took place in England.
In the year 2017, he was awarded the PCB's ODI Player of the Year when he became the first player in history to score 5 consecutive centuries in the same country. In the ODI match, he scored 54 runs in just 60 balls. He is the only Pakistani player to score 3 centuries in T20 matches in a calendar year.

Virat Kohli:-

Virat Kohli is currently ranked No. 2 in the ICC ODI Player Rankings for 2021. Being a top-order batsman, he scores a lot of runs for the team and personally likes to chase down the target.
He was born on 5 November 1988 in Delhi, made it to the international format in 2008, now he is rated 844 /1000 by the ICC.
He holds the record for reaching 11,000 ODI runs faster than Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli has been awarded the ICC ODI Player of the Year award 3 times - in 2012, 2017, and 2018.

Rohit Sharma:-

Rohit Sharma is the opening batsman of the Indian cricket team and also the vice-captain of the Indian team. His full name is Rohit Gurunath Sharma and he was born on 30 April 1987 in Nagpur.
Rohit Sharma started his career in 2007 when he was 20 years old and is currently included in the list of 5 best ODI batsmen in the world.
Rohit Sharma holds the record for scoring 264 runs in an ODI match. He has the most number of double centuries scored by any cricketer in the world in ODI format, with 3 double centuries.

Ross Taylor:-

Ross Taylor plays in the middle order for New Zealand. He has served as the captain of the New Zealand cricket team in the past. His full name is Luterau Ross Poteau Taylor and he was born on 8 March 1984 in Lower Hutt, Wellington. He is currently ranked 4th in the list of 5 best ODI batsmen in the world.
He made his ODI debut in 2006 when he was 22 years old, but managed only 15 runs, however, scoring 128* against Sri Lanka in his third ODI. He is one of the few players in the world who have scored a double century in the Test format. Ross Taylor Ross is showing no signs of slowing down even after playing 221 ODIs with an impressive 8000+ runs. Ross is one of the premium batsmen of this decade.
He has played 4 ICC World Cups - 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. Ross Taylor is the first New Zealander to score a century against all Test match playing nations in the ODI format. Not only this, he is the fourth player in the history of cricket to score a century on his birthday.

Aaron Finch:-

Aaron Finch is an Australian batsman and is included in the list of top 5 ODI batsmen in the world. He is the opening batsman for the Australian cricket team and serves as the captain in the limited overs cricket format.
Aaron Finch's full name is Aaron James Finch and he was born on 17 November 1986 in Colack, Victoria, Australia. In 2013, at the age of 27, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka, where he could only score 16 runs.
He holds the record for the highest individual score of 172 in T20Is which is the most runs scored by any opener and captain. Broke his own record of 156 runs. Aaron Finch and David Warner also held the record for the highest opening partnership of all time against India with 285 runs.
