Jimmy George

One of the top professional volleyball players of India is "Jimmy George". Born on 8 March 1955 in Peravoor, a small town in Kannur district of Kerala, Jimmy George was the second eldest of eight brothers. Be a sports member of India's national volleyball platoon. He is the in-laws of Olympian Anju Bobby George. HW represented India at the 1986 Asian Games and also won a citation for the country.
Jimmy George was a young volleyball player who won the Arjuna Award at the age of 21. He was considered one of the stylish bushwalkers when playing club volleyball in Italy. At the young age of 32, he failed in an auto accident.

A.Palanisamy

A Palanisamy was a volleyball player from India. He represented the country in the Asian Games in the early 60s. He was a resident of Kallampatti near Melur in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. He died on 12 November 2007. In the early 1960s, Palanasamy was a member of the public volleyball team that participated in the Asian Games. The intensity with which he walked on the court, especially at the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta, was called the Black Catamount.
He was nicknamed the Black Panther because of his brutal attacks in the 1962 Asian Games held in Jakarta. He was also awarded the Stylish Player of Asia. Palanisamy was the first player to earn the Arjuna Award in this order of the game. After guiding to Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu, he withdrew from volleyball in 1998.

Cyril Vellore

One of the most famous volleyball players of India "Cyril Vellore" is from Kerala. He has fought for India in several national and international competitions, including the Asian Games in Seoul in 1986, when he captained the Indian platoon for the Citation Order. He won the bronze medal under the captaincy of the Indian team.
In the volleyball platoon of the 1980s, his association with Jimmy George made him a force to be reckoned with for the country. In 1986, he received the Arjuna Award for his services to Indian volleyball.

Balwant Singh

Balwant Singh, better known as Ballu, was an Indian volleyball player, considered the star of the India men's national volleyball team. He represented the Indian public platoon during the 1970, 1974, and 1978 Asian Games. He played at the national level from 1965 to 1988 which helped Punjab to win the public title 10 times with Singh's performance.
Ballu also captained India in the 1974 Tehran Asian Games. He has the distinction of being the first Arjuna Awardee player of Haryana State in Volleyball. He retired as Deputy Commandant from BSF.
His son Narendra is a professional volleyball player who plays for the Indian volleyball team.

Abdul basith

Abdul Basith led India's men's public volleyball platoon. Abdul Basith was part of the team that won the citation in 1986 by defeating Japan at the Asian Games in Seoul. He was noted for his decency, dehumanizing address, fair play and vast constitution. He was born in Hyderabad. Basith received the Arjuna Award in 1989.

Nirmal Saini

He was born on 10 October 1938 in a Saini family in Sheikhpura, Punjab (now part of Pakistan). Nirmal Saini was an Indian volleyball player who represented Platoon India in color competitions. She was the captain of the women's national volleyball platoon.
She is the wife of Milkha Singh. She was the director of sports for women in the state department. She graduated from Panjab University in 1958 with a master's degree in political science. She was also the Women Director in the State Department.

Nripjit Singh Bedik

Nripjit Singh Bedi was a professional volleyball player who was a member of the Indian national team. He was a member of the tableware winning Asian Games Indian National Platoon in the fourth edition of the Asian Games. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1962. He played volleyball for 23 long hours and was also a Commander in the Border Security Force of Punjab.

Ramavtar Singh Jakhari

Ramavtar Singh Jakhari is the son of former Nawalgarh MLA Navrang Singh Jakhar. He completed his BA from University of Rajasthan and is presently working as Director in State Bank of India. He represented Platoon India at the 2006 SAF Games in Colombo and won gold medals as the Director of SBI.

Amit Gulia

Amit Gulia has played in the 2018 Asian Games and led the Indian side to a tableware order in the -23 Asian Championship in Myanmar in 2019. He was also a part of the gold medal winning platoon at the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu.

Muthusamy Appavu

International volleyball player Muthusamy Appavu made his Indian National Platoon debut in 2018. He represented Platoon in colorful events like the U21 BRICS Games 2018, where he won a Citation and the U23 Asian Championship, where Platoon won the Tableware Order and Muthusamy won. Stylish Setter Award.
The veteran was also part of the Indian platoon for the 2021 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship.
