भद्रासन शुरुआती लोगों के लिए उपयुक्त एक साधारण योग मुद्रा है। जोकि ध्यान के लिए एक अनुकूल आसन है क्योंकि यह आरामदायक है और इसे अधिक अवधि तक किया जा सकता है।'भद्रासन' संस्कृत भाषा का शब्द है। ये दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है। पहले शब्द 'भद्र' का अर्थ है- 'भला मनुष्य' या 'शानदार'। जबकि दूसरे शब्द आसन का अर्थ किसी विशिष्ट स्थिति में खड़े होने, लेटने या बैठने से है।

भद्रासन का शाब्दिक अर्थ होता है, भले मनुष्य या शानदार तरीके से बैठने वाला आसन। इसलिए भद्रासन योग को अंग्रेजी में ‘ग्रेसिऑस पोज’ भी कहा जाता हैं। इस आसन के अभ्यास से शरीर को कुछ गजब के फायदे हैं। भद्रासन योग का अभ्यास मन को शांत करता है और इससे शरीर निरोगी और सुंदर बनता है। यह मूलाधार (मूल) चक्र को भी सक्रिय करता है। यह योग हमारे फेफड़ों और पाचन तंत्र के लिए बहुत ही लाभदायक होता हैं। आइये भद्रासन योग करने की विधि और उसके लाभों को विस्तार से जानते हैं।

भद्रासन योग करने का तरीका :–

भद्रासन करने के लिए आप सबसे पहले फर्श पर एक योगा मैट को बिछाकर उस पर दोनों घुटनों को मोड़कर दंडासन में बैठे, दोनों टांगो को एक साथ आगे मिलाइए, हाथ शरीर के अगल-बगल होने चाहिए, हथेलियां जमीन पर हों। रीढ़ की हड्ड़ी बिल्कुल सीधी होनी चाहिए।
दोनों टांगो को धीरे-धीरे धुटनों से मोड़िए (पहले दांई ओर बाद में बांई) तथा दोनों तलवों को मिलाइए। उंगलियों से उन्हें पकड़े रखें और टखनों के चारों ओर उंगलियों की पकड़ रखिए। टांगे जमीन स्पर्श किए हुए होनी चाहिएं और घुटने भी जमीन पर होने चाहिएं।

विधि और निषेध :–

कमर और गर्दन सीधी होनी चाहिए। आभ्यंतर जांघो के मूल में खिंचाव होना महत्वपुर्ण है।

भद्रासन योग से होने वाले लाभ :–

इससे नितम्ब, घुटने और टखने के जोड़ों में बहुत अधिक लचीलापन आता है, और चोट लगने से बचने में सहायता मिलती है।

इससे रीढ़ के रज्जू भाग में तनाव से मुक्ति मिलती है।

यह कमर के पुरे भाग के लिए अच्छा आसन है तथा इससे नितम्ब, घुटने और टखनों के जोड़ो में लचीलापन आता है।

जांघो श्रेाणीय और जांघ के जोड़ों की मांसपेशियों में अच्छा खिंचाव आ जाता है जिससे ये स्वस्थ रहती है।

यह आसन श्रेाणीय भाग के ऊतकों, नाड़ियों के विस्तारण के लिए लाभकारी है।

भद्रसन कमर और श्रेाणीय हिस्सों की मांसपेशियों को मजबूत बनाने में सहायक है।

नियमित अभ्यास से असाध्य बीमारियों में भी फायदा पहुंचाए।
