चन्द्रभेदी प्राणायाम का हमारे जीवन में बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है, यह प्राणायाम शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से मनुष्य स्वास्थ्य प्रदान करता है। “चन्द्र भेदन प्राणायाम” में चन्द्र का अर्थ ‘चंद्रमा व् सूर्य’ है, और भेदन का अर्थ है ‘गुजरना’। चन्द्र भेदन प्राणायाम की तकनीक के अनुसार श्वास बायीं नासिका से लेकर दाहिनी नासिका से छोड़नी होती है।
इस प्राणायाम को करने से हमारे शरीर में मौजूद नाड़ी जिसे इड़ा नाड़ी कहते हैं जो हमारे शरीर को शुद्ध करती है जिससे शरीर की कई बीमारियां ठीक हो जाती हैं। इसको करने से चन्द्र नाड़ी क्रियाशील हो जाती है इसलिए इसका नाम चन्द्र्भेदी प्राणायाम पड़ा।

चंद्रभेदी प्राणायाम की विधि:-

  • सबसे पहले किसी समतल व शांत जगह पर सुखासन स्थिति में बैठ जाएँ।
  • अब अपनी गर्दन रीड की हड्डी और कमर को सीधी अवस्था में रखे।
  • अब अपने बांये नासिका द्वार से पूरक (श्वास अन्दर) कीजिये।
  • पूरक की क्रिया धीरे-धीरे और सावधानी पूर्वक होनी चाहिए।
  • पूरक करने के बाद अपने दोनों नासिका द्वार को बंद करे।
  • अब कुछ समय के लिए कुम्भक करे।
  • कुम्भक के साथ जालन्धर और मूलबंध जरुर लगाये।
  • थोड़े समय के लिए स्वाभाविक विराम ले।
  • अब रेचक (श्वास छोड़ना) की क्रिया दाहिने नासिका द्वार से करे।
  • इस प्रकार यह एक चक्र पूरा हुआ।
  • अब इसी क्रिया को कम से कम 5-10 मिनट तक करें।

    • चंद्र्भेदी प्राणायाम में सावधानियां:

  • इस प्राणायाम में अन्त:श्वसन सदैव बायीं नासिका से और बहि:श्वसन दायीं नासिका से किया जाता है। जो ठीक सूर्य भेदी प्राणायाम के विपरीत है।
  • कफज विकारों से ग्रषित व्यक्ति इस प्राणायाम को न करे।
  • दमा या श्वास रोग से पीड़ितों को भी इस प्राणायाम को नहीं करना चाहिए।
  • निम्न रक्तचाप के रोगी इस प्राणायाम को न करें।
  • इस अभ्यास को प्राथमिक रूप से ग्रीष्मकाल में ही किया जाना चाहिए।
  • ध्यान दे सूर्यभेदन और चन्द्रभेदन प्राणायाम को कभी एक दिन में नहीं करना चाहिए।

    • चंद्रभेदी प्राणायाम के लाभ:-

  • इससे शरीर में रक्त संचार संबंधी संतुलन और त्रिदोषिय संतुलन रहता है।
  • चन्द्रमा की तरह यह प्राणायाम भी शरीर को शीतलता प्रदान करता है।
  • पित्त के प्रकोप को कम करने में कारगर प्राणायाम है।
  • गर्मियों में विशेष लाभकारी है।
  • इससे चंद्रानाडी सक्रिय होती है।
  • क्रोध को कम करने और मानसिक शांति में काफी लाभदायक है।
  • यह प्राणायाम तनाव को खत्म करता है।
  • यह प्राणायाम स्मरण शक्ति के संचार में लाभदायक है।
  • यह प्राणायाम चर्म रोगों में भी इस प्राणायाम को अपनाने से लाभ मिलता है।
  • यह प्राणायाम हृदय के विकारों का शमन करता है।
  • यह प्राणायाम पाचन क्रिया को सुचारू करने से फायदेमंद है।
  • यह प्राणायाम हाई ब्लड प्रेस्सर को कंट्रोल करने में काफी लाभ देता है।
