All India Kabaddi Federation (AIKF)
In order to increase the popularity of Kabaddi game in India, All India Kabaddi Federation (AIKF) was established in 1950. The Kabaddi Federation of India (AIKF) has been continuously working towards improving the standards of the game since its inception. For this purpose, it regularly organizes national level Kabaddi Championships since 1952 as per rules and regulations. The Kabaddi Federation of India (AIKF) organized the first men's national tournament in Madras (Chennai) and the first women's national tournament in Calcutta (Kolkata).
Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI)
In order to administer and promote the sport of Kabaddi in India, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) was established in 1973. In addition, AKFI aims to be the central body to improve the standard of the game in all neighboring countries of India.
The organization also organizes international kabaddi tournaments for both men and women in India. The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) also organizes sub-junior and junior national and zonal competitions to promote the sport at the local level.
World Kabaddi Federation" (WKF)
The International Kabaddi Federation is the international governing body of Kabaddi. Its membership includes 31 national associations. International Federation "World Kabaddi Federation" (WKF) was officially established in 2003 to unite all Kabaddi organizations as well as to promote peace, harmony, and popularity of Kabaddi game.
The federation was formed on 4 November 2004. "World Kabaddi Federation" was incorporated on 30 September 2005 under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. An International Sports Federation to govern the game of Kabaddi at the international level in the capacity of the sole organization in charge of all forms of Kabaddi sports; The Commonwealth, Continental Games, World Games, Regional and International Olympic Games and other sport related global activities and events are representative authority in all other world bodies.
