Cricket ICC World Cup Winners List...
Cricket World Cup was first contested in England in 1975. It is contested by the men's national teams of members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the sport's global governing body. This tournament usually takes place every four years. It was played as a series of one-day matches of 60 overs per side. It was held outside England, in India and Pakistan for the first time in 1987. In the 1987 competition also the number of overs per side was reduced to 50.
There have been 12 World Cup tournaments so far. Australia is the most successful country to have won 5 World Cups, and was runner-up twice. India and West Indies are the only two countries that have won the World Cup twice. India won the World Cup in 1983 and 2011, West Indies won in 1975 and 1979. The last World Cup held in 2019 was won by England.

Australia is the most successful team in the ICC World Cup which has won the World Cup 5 times and has been runner-up twice. Australia won three in a row (1999, 2003 and 2007). Australia has played the most finals (seven out of twelve: 1975, 1987, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015). After Australia, India and West Indies won the World Cup twice. The last ICC ODI Men's World Cup 2019 was held in England and Wales and this World Cup was won by the host nation England for the first time.
