Most 300-plus scores by teams in ODIs...
England is the first team to score 300-plus in ODI match. It was against India at Lord's on 7 June, when the home team scored 334/4 in the first game of the 1975 Prudential World Cup. New Zealand also scored 309/5 against East Africa in Birmingham on the same day. And soon Australia and Pakistan also scored their first 300-plus totals.
The first One Day International (ODI) match was played between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1971 and the first ODI total of over 300 took over 4 years. India had their first 300-plus total, after the other 8 teams recorded their 300-plus ODI scores. India's first 300-plus total (305/5) came against Pakistan in Sharjah in 1996. India's rich batting line-up over the past three decades ensured that the Asian team became the first country to cross the 300-plus mark 100 times in ODIs. In 2017, they became the first team to score a total of more than 300 in ODIs. And these are the teams with the most totals over 300.
