Jalal-ud-Din took the first hat-trick in ODIs against Australia, becoming the first bowler to achieve this feat in the tournament. Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga is the only bowler to have taken three hat-tricks in ODIs. Wasim Akram and Saqlain Mushtaq (Pakistan), Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka), Trent Boult (New Zealand), and Kuldeep Yadav (India) have taken two hat-tricks in ODIs.
