The longest-serving captain and wicketkeeper in the history of Indian cricket, received the Padma Bhushan, the country's third highest civilian award, from President Ram Nath Kovind. The former India captain, who holds the rank of honorary lieutenant colonel, wore his official uniform of the Territorial Army for the ceremony. The Padma Bhushan award is India's third highest civilian honour. Dhoni is already a recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, India's highest sporting honour, as well as the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour.
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the two cricketers to have received the Khel Ratna. Sachin is also the recipient of the highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, and the second highest civilian honour, the Padma Vibhushan. Dhoni is one of the 10 cricketers to have received the Padma Bhushan from the Government of India.

2018 - Mahendra Singh Dhoni:
On 20 March 2018, Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni was given Padma Bhushan by President Ram Nath Kovind. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award. The former India captain, who holds the rank of honorary lieutenant colonel, wore his official uniform of the Territorial Army for the ceremony. As soon as his name was announced, Dhoni marched past the dignitaries present at the Rashtrapati Bhavan before receiving the honors from President Ram Nath Kovind.
2013 - Rahul Dravid:

2002 - Chandu Borde:
Chandu Borde is a cricketer who was a member of the Indian cricket team between 1958 and 1970. They are from Maharashtra. Chandrakant Gulabrao Borde was the 8th cricketer to receive the Padma Bhushan award. 1991 - Lala Amarnath, D.B. Deodhar, and Kapil Dev:
The Government of India honored Lala Amarnath, DB Deodhar and Kapil Dev with the Padma Bhushan in 1991 for their contribution to Indian cricket. Amaranth was India's first century in Test cricket, while Kapil Dev was India's captain when they won their first World Cup in 1983. Deodhar was a passionate player in Indian first-class cricket and remained associated with the game even at the age of 55.
1980 - Sunil Gavaskar:
In 1980, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in the field of sports. Sunil Gavaskar received the 'Arjuna Award' in 1975 in India. Apart from this, he has been honored in many countries. He has also received 'Wisden' in 1980 itself. Sunil Gavaskar, the first player to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket, was given this honor for his successful international career representing Team India.
1973 - Vinoo Mankad:
Mulwantrai Himmatlal Mankad popularly known as Vinoo Mankad, Government of India honored him with the civilian honor of Padma Bhushan in 1973. He was one of the greatest all-rounders to play cricket. He received the third highest civilian honor for his services to the Indian cricket team in 1973. He was the only player to receive this honor between 1968 and 1979.
1958 - Maharajakumar of Vizianagaram:
Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Vijay Anand Gajapathi Raju, popularly known as the Maharajakumar of Vizianagaram, was the second cricketer to be awarded the Padma Bhushan. For his services to sports, Vijay Anand was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1958.
1956 - CK Nayudu:
He was the first cricketer from India, who was honored by the government with 'Padma Bhushan' in the year 1956. India's first captain in Test cricket, Kottari Kanakaiah Naidu was the first recipient of the award among cricketers. Naidu received the Padma Bhushan in 1956 when it was the second highest civilian honour.
