List of Olympic Games played in the Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The 2014 Winter Olympics consisted of 7 sports, the 2016 Summer Olympics consisted of 28 sports. The number and type of events of each Olympics may change slightly from one Olympiad to another. Each Olympics is represented by the International Federation (IF), an international governing body.
