BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), which runs cricket in India, is a full member of the International Cricket Council, the international governing body of cricket. It is made up of 38 affiliated members. The states are divided into regions on the basis of their location in India, North Zone, Central Zone, East Zone, West Zone and South Zone.
The role of the domestic boards that are members of the BCCI and their voting rights, and the BCCI's system of allocation to the domestic boards.
The following are the state boards and regional bodies affiliated to BCCI.
Membership and Jurisdiction of Members:
A. Each State shall be represented by a State Cricket Association duly recognized by the BCCI and such association shall be full member. No State shall at any time have more than one Full Member.
B. The following are the governing bodies for cricket in the states which will be full members of the association BCCI.
c. In states with several existing members, full membership shall be exchanged annually among such existing members in such a way that only one of them shall at any time exercise the rights and privileges of a full member. The rotation will be as per the policy framed by the BCCI.
d. Pending disputes in respect of an association duly recognized to represent a particular State, the State shall be represented by the recognized association, subject to any order of the Court or resolution of the BCCI, as the case may be Ho.
