History of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI):
The BCCI is a board affiliated to the World Cricket Council (ICC) which was formed in 1928 and is a government body patronized by the Government of India. The headquarters of BCCI is in Mumbai. The main job of BCCI is to control and organize sports tournaments in India and to represent India's players in international cricket who play for India.

The BCCI also performs other functions to protect the spirit of the game along with the performance in the game, which includes preventing betting on cricket, and the board often checks players who violate the rules related to such a game. Keeps taking decisions and the board also takes decisions like life ban if found guilty in cases like match-fixing.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President 2019:
India's most successful captains Sourav Ganguly became the 39th President of BCCI at the Annual General Meeting on 23 October 2019. Due to which the 33-month-old rule of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators has come to an end. Ganguly's nomination for the post of BCCI President was unanimous, while Home Minister Amit Shah's son Jay Shah has been made the secretary. Mahim Verma of Uttarakhand has become the new vice-president. Former BCCI President and Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur's younger brother Arun Dhumal is the treasurer while Kerala's Jayesh George became the joint secretary.
The first President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was Mr. R. E. Grant Govan, who held this position between 1928–1933. Presently former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the president.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) runs/regulates cricket in India. The BCCI is headed by its President, which is the highest office in the BCCI.
The President of the BCCI is elected at the Annual General Meeting of the BCCI. The post is rotated zone-wise across India. The term of the BCCI President is a maximum of three years.
