The auction for 2023 IPL is underway. Sam Curran has become the costliest player ever bought in IPL, followed by Cameron Green and Ben Stokes. Sam Curran was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore. At the same time, all-rounder Ben Stokes has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for 16.25 crores. Curran and Cameron Green have broken all previous records and become the most expensive players in the history of the tournament.
Many players are yet to be bid in the auction for the 2023 IPL season.
