Indian cricket team is showing performance in every format of cricket. Indian team has won 20 over, 50 over and 60 over cricket world cup. During this, the team got some capable captains and they have taken the team to new heights.
MS Dhoni is considered the greatest captain of India. Under his leadership, the Indian cricket team rose to the number one spot in the ICC Test Rankings, winning the 2011 Cricket World Cup, the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
There have been many other players who have captained the India team, albeit only for a short time. Under the captaincy of some of them, the Indian cricket team has never lost a single match in any format.

The Indian cricket team never lost an ODI under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Gautam Gambhir got a chance to captain India in six ODIs. The Indian team had defeated New Zealand 5-0 in the year 2010 under the captaincy of Gambhir. In December 2011, India defeated West Indies by 34 runs in an ODI under Gambhir's leadership. Gambhir was the highest run-scorer for the Indian team against Sri Lanka in the 2011 Cricket World Cup final match. The former Indian opener was also a shrewd captain, on the basis of this ability, he led Kolkata Knight Riders to victory in the 2012 and 2014 IPL editions.

Suresh Raina

Under Suresh Raina's leadership, the Indian cricket team never lost a T20 International match. Raina captained India in three T20 Internationals. Two of those matches were against Zimbabwe in 2010 and the last one was against West Indies team in 2011. India won all three matches. Raina was also the man of the match in his second T20 International as captain. He scored 72 runs against Zimbabwe.

Virender Sehwag

India did not lose a single T20 International match under the captaincy of Virender Sehwag. Sehwag captained Team India in all three formats of the game. But, he could make a record of being invincible in the shortest format of cricket. Sehwag led India in the first T20 match against the South African cricket team. In this T20 match, the South African team was defeated under the captaincy of Sehwag.

Ajinkya Rahane

Under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane, the team did not lose a single Test or ODI match. Rahane, the vice-captain of the Indian Test team, is the only active player in this list. In Tests, under Rahane's captaincy, India has won four matches in five matches, while one match has been drawn. In the ODI format, India has played 3 matches under the leadership of Rahane, winning all three matches.

Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri has been the coach of the Indian cricket team. Shastri has been one of India's top all-rounders in his time. Shastri captained India in a Test match against West Indies at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. In that match, India defeated West Indies by 255 runs.

Anil Kumble

In the year 2002, former India Test captain Anil Kumble captained India in ODIs during a series against England. The third ODI of the series was played in Chennai. Playing under the captaincy of Kumble, India won by four wickets. That 6-match series ended in a 3-3 draw. India did not lose an ODI under the captaincy of Anil Kumble.
